+ I love Scott.. and working on a website for us.

  • Romney, Brownback Battle For GOP Far Right

(Grand Rapids, Michigan) Republicans Mitt Romney and Sen. Sam Brownback promoted their presidential campaigns before nearly 3,000 party activists at the Michigan GOP convention Saturday.

Romney reminded the crowd that he grew up sharing the Automotive News each morning with his father, George, who headed American Motors Corp. before serving as Michigan’s governor from 1963 to 1969.

The younger Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, said his father brought many of the lessons he learned from business to the governorship.

“He got Michigan moving again,” Romney said, before running through his stands in opposition to abortion and same-sex marriage and in favor of tight controls on illegal immigration. “It’s time for Republican principles to come back to Michigan again.”

Brownback, of Kansas, running as the conservative heart of the party, earned a warm reception with his pledges to protect life and the traditional family.

He also called for wiping out cancer in 10 years and for putting more resources into alternative energy.

“Michigan is going to be a key state in getting that done,” he said, noting its efforts to encourage the production of ethanol and biodiesel.

Meanwhile, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani received a warm welcome Saturday from California GOP activists.

Being mayor, he said at the California Republican Party convention, “prepares you as best you can be prepared to be the president of the United States.”

Giuliani spoke for nearly 45 minutes, touching on health care, crime, terrorism and Iraq. He mocked inaction in Washington, saying he would be a decisive leader.

“Presidents make decisions and move things forward,” he said. “That’s the kind of president I would like to be.”

On a day when a leading Democrat, Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, announced his presidential bid by invoking Abraham Lincoln, Giuliani said Lincoln’s legacy, holding the nation together through the Civil War, really belonged to Republicans.

“As Republicans, we’re the party of freedom,” he said. “We’re the party of Abraham Lincoln.”

Giuliani met for about an hour Friday night with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, also a Republican. Schwarzenegger urged him to help bring about a national debate on health care reform and the country’s dependence on fossil fuel.

Giuliani’s California visit continues with an address Monday in Silicon Valley and an appearance Tuesday at an agricultural fair in the Central Valley.

  • LONDON FASHION WEEK

    LONDON FASHION WEEK

    Kate Moss
Kate Moss, Madonna and even Mariah Carey are expected to line designers’ front rows during London Fashion Week and no doubt Marc Jacobs’ catwalk show and store launch on Mayfair’s Mount Street will pull in even more A-listers. The fashion press wait with baited breath to pounce on the next big thing from Central Saint Martins when the graduate show takes place on Friday.
Look out for stunning collections from man-of-the-moment Giles Deacon, and last year’s Fashion Fringe winner Gavin Douglas. Henry Holland also showcases his House of Holland collaboration with Kickers, Kick-HoH, which will be on the catwalk at Fashion East – look out for his silver and black Kick-Hi boots adorning the feet of Peter Jensen’s models, too.
Off the catwalk, Oxford Circus looks to be packed – crowds will be lining up outside Topshop ready to snap up the debut collection by New Generation winners Marios Schwab and Christopher Kane, and on Valentine’s night, Liberty will be equally packed for an enormous party to launch its Liberty of London Boutique.

  • Fairy Tales. | Written by: P.A. Jervis, Jr.

I think this might be a fairy tale.
I make things happen by saying them in rhyme.
Things seem to happen right on time.

    Then snap.
    Back to reality.
You are right back in front of me.
You are the fairy tale man for me.
The happy ending just for me.

  • Addicted | Written by: P.A. Jervis, Jr.

I am addicted to the fact that I love you so much>
I am addicted to the fact that I love you so
..much that I might be losing you.
I feel that everyday I am slipping further and further away from reality and that you just seem to be more of a fantasy.
That is.. if you meant anything to me in the first place.

What is it about you that I can’t let go?
What is it that makes you want to stay?
I love you more than anything before.
But still I act with behaviour that makes you run for the door.

I’m so addicted to the fear of being alone
I am so addicted to being with someone forever and want my lover to feel the same way.
I want to be greedy and get attention all the time
I want it to be about us and no one else.

    I am addicted to a non-reality
And I am addicted to you.
